2013 Green Bay Packers 7 round Mock Draft

We're in Mock Draft Season so without wasting anymore space, here is my ideal/realistic Green Bay Packer Mock Draft. Go ahead and review and critique as necessary. Go ahead and use this forum to list your mock draft selections or opinions related to the draft. Cheers!

1st round (26)-

Eric Reid, S, LSU - I feel like Eric Reid is the BPA at this spot and if he falls to us at 26, TT should not hesitate to pick up the missing link to solidify our secondary. A fast and durable playmaker, capable of playing near the line of scrimmage or roaming the center field for the next decade.

Alternate Picks:

Zach Ertz, TE, Sanford

Margus Hunt, DE, SMU

Travis Fredrick, OL, Wisconsin

2nd Round (55)-

Barret Jones, OL, Alabama - Jones offers the Packers versatility and championship pedigree. His big game experience as well as his intelligence will be great assets at the center position. His health and lack of athleticism are concerns but if the Packers decide to go O-line with this pick, Jones is as safe as any.

Alternate Picks:

Jesse Williams, DL, Alabama

Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida Int.

Robert Woods, WR, USC

3rd Round (88)-

William Gholston, DE, Michigan St - Gholston is a monster with tremendous punch that can be refined as a rotational player along the D-Line. If Raji can fulfill the NT position, Gholston should be able to shore up that LDE position within the next couple of seasons.

Alternate Picks:

Marques Goodwin, WR, Texas -

Brian Schwenke, OL, Cal

D.J. Swearinger, S, South Carolina

4th Round (122)

Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M - A underrated WR that has the speed and dependable hands the Packers covet. He can stretch the field and also make the tough catches in the middle. If he falls to the 4th round TT should be ecstatic.

Alternate Picks:

Zeke Motta, S, Notre Dame

Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina

Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego St

5th Round (1st Pick, 159)

Levon Bell, RB, Michigan St - Michigan St strikes again. Levon Bell is a bruiser who will deliver the power to push the pile and give the Packers the thunder with DaJuan Harris delivering the lighting. I could see a rushing attack similar to the 2007-2010 Giants with this pairing.

Alternate Picks:

Malliciah Goodman, DE, Clemson

Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma

Josh Evans, S, Florida

David Quessenberry, OL, San Jose State

(2nd Pick, 167)

Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford - A dependable run stuffer with enough burst to get to the quarterback. While spelling Nick Perry, I think Chase Thomas could be a tremendous role player on this team and give us a personality that fits the Packer mold.

Alternate Picks:

Jawan Jamison, RB, Rutgers

Earl Wolff, S, N.C. State

Denard Robinson, WR, Michigan

6th Round (193)-

Dion, TE, Sims - With Jermichael Finleys future in question and Crabtree no longer on the team, TE will be a priority for the Packers during the draft. Sims has size, burst and experience in the blocking game to be a contributor early on in his career.

Alternate Picks:

Kwame Geathers, DT, Georgia

J.C. Tretter, OG, Cornell

Gilbert Pena, DE, Miss

7th Round (232)-

T.J. Johnson, OC, South Carolina - A player with plenty of experience playing in a tough division that could use some years perfecting his craft. A possible late round gem TT usually scores.

Alternate Picks:

Cierre Wood, RB, Norte Dame

Spencer Nealy, DE, Texas A&M

Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE, Auburn

Sean Renfree, QB, Duke

If my first selections were actually picked, the Green Bay Packers would get:

1.Eric Reid, S

2. Barret Jones, OL

3. William Gholston, DL

4. Ryan Swope, WR

5. Levon Bell, RB

5. Chase Thomas, OLB

6. Dion Sims, TE

7. T.J. Johnson, OL

Who do you think we pick up in April?
