the young, the injured, and suspended

After weeks of camp, and two preseason games,

we're begining to see which players may be making an impact on this team this upcoming season who either weren't in the leauge, we're injured, or suspended. We'll start with the rookies

This is shaping up to be one of TT's best draft classes. While Datone Jones was impressive in camp and looks like the real deal. it's hard to say anything definitive however as we've only seen him for 1 play. Eddie Lacy, first to say i thought he was a dud. After family night and last weeks preseason game he looks like a game changer. He imo will make a huge impact in the passing game. (WOT) i think tge impact in play action will be huge. I also believe he will be very effective in closing out ball games. Those are two rookies who, relative to where they we're drafted were expected to make an impact for the green and gold this year. however David Bahktari (not sure on that spelling) is almost certainly a steal, and given the injury to Bulaga along with the often inept play of newhouse, he may just be a saving grace. Now we can all start the what ifs as concerned to bulaga's injury as in, what if he didnt get hurt. how much better would this line be with bulaga and David as your starting tackles? Then there is rookie Micah Hyde. Who knew? well Ted had some idea. IDK about you all but, I'm to the point where i want him to playthe slot, his ability to play the run, to blitz and his coverage inside gives me flashbacks to #21 in 09.

all in all this collection of rookies look to have a huge impact for both sides of the ball.

Then there are a couple of players who were injured or suspended last season who are looking to make an impact this season. First there is Nick Perry, a player who showed flashes last year before succumbing to injury. He needs to live up to that 1st round billing and show improvement, but from the games I've seen and listening to the coaching staff, it appears he's on track to be very productive this year. He almost has to be better with another year of learning his new position. Johnny Jolly is and throughout camp has shown flashes of the dominate player he was in 09 and, why TT and MM refused to give up on him. I'm finding myself more and more excited about the upcoming season, because I can't remember the last time we had such an infusion of young talent. As well as veteran talent
