APC Mock Draft, Picks 54-57: Terrence Brooks, Keith McGill, Cody Latimore Projected

Melina Vastola-US PRESSWIRE

The talent level in round two doesn't see much of a drop-off yet, as some great prospects go in the mid-fifties.

As the second round of the 2014 APC mock draft starts to wind down, we continue to find talented players coming off the board. Unfortunately for us as Packers fans, one of our favorite day-2 safety prospects is projected to be drafted just a single pick after the Packers' selection at 53.

We'll wrap up the second round tomorrow and have a third-round projection for you next week.

#54: Philadelphia Eagles (Brendan)

Terrence Brooks, safety, Florida State

The Eagles get a speedy (because, Chip Kelly) safety to help on defense and one of the BPA at this spot in the draft.

Previous selection:
Brandin Cooks, wide receiver, Oregon State

#55: Cincinnati Bengals (Jason)

Morgan Moses, offensive tackle, Virginia

Morgan Moses lasted far too long given his talent. He projects as a starting LT for a team that has a 32-year-old there now (albeit a good one).

Previous selection:
Bradley Roby, cornerback, Ohio State

#56: San Francisco 49ers (Josh)

Keith McGill, cornerback, Utah

The 49ers cornerback unit took a major hit this off-season, and it wouldn't be shocking to see them take two cornerbacks early in the process. McGill would be the BPA at No. 59.

Previous selection:
Ra'Shede Hageman, defensive tackle, Minnesota

#57: San Diego Chargers (Dan)

Cody Latimer, wide receiver, Indiana

The Chargers got the difference maker they desperately needed at CB in the first round. In the second round they address another major need — WR. QB Phillip Rivers had a tremendous year for the Chargers in 2013, leading them to an upset playoff win on the road in the 'Nati. The Chargers don't have a true No. 1 WR on the roster currently. Keenan Allen was a great pick for the Chargers in the 2013, but is better suited for the slot. At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Latimer could be that No. 1 WR the Chargers have been searching for since Vincent Jackson left via free agency.

Previous selection:
Kyle Fuller, cornerback, Virginia Tech
