The Packers have been losing members of their front office and personnel department frequently over the past few years, as three executives have earned General Manager jobs. They also lost offensive coordinator Joe Philbin two years ago, as he took the head coaching job in Miami.
This off-season, quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo was the first position coach to interview fora job elsewhere, as he talked to the Browns about their head coaching vacancy and the Giants about their offensive coordinator job. Now it appears that inside linebackers coach and Assistant Head Coach Winston Moss is under consideration for the defensive coordinator job with the Tennessee Titans, who just brought Ken Whisenhunt aboard as their head coach.
We give a hat-tip to Packer Report for finding this tweet:
Just heard Winston Moss (ILBs #Packers) and Clyde Christensen (QBs #Colts) are possible Whiz coordinators. #Titans

Whisenhunt has made it clear that he wants to run a 3-4 defense with the Titans, and Moss certainly has the experience under Capers to do that. Moss has been the Packers' linebackers coach since 2006, covering specifically inside linebackers since 2009 when Green Bay switched to a 3-4 with Dom Capers' arrival. He was named Assistant Head Coach before the 2007 season.
SBNation blog Music City Miracles has news that Whisenhunt's first choice would be the Steelers' Keith Butler (also a linebackers coach) but that Pittsburgh could block that interview.
Moss has been linked to coordinator and even head coaching vacancies in the past, but has remained with the Packers.
We are working to determine if Moss is under contract with the Packers for next season. If so, the Packers could block the Titans from interviewing Moss for the coordinator job.
