NFL Honors 2014: Packers' Eddie Lacy, Aaron Rodgers, and Randall Cobb Nominated

David Banks

The Packers' top rookie and best play are in the running for the best in the NFL in an awards ceremony that will be aired tonight on FOX.

Tonight, the NFL continues a recent tradition by honoring its best players and plays from the previous season the night before the Super Bowl. The NFL Honors will bring together people from around the league to celebrate the best of 2013.

The Packers' Eddie Lacy is one of the nominees for the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and is considered by many to be the favorite. Lacy won the Rookie of the Year from the Pro Football Writers of America in January, and is also a nominee for the Pepsi NEXT Rookie of the Year, which is voted on exclusively by the fans. Lacy, the team's second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, rushed for a Packers rookie record 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns.

UPDATE: Lacy wins Offensive Rookie of the Year

The Packers have one other nominee in tonight's show, and that is for the Play of the Year. Not surprisingly, that play is Aaron Rodgers' fourth-down touchdown to Randall Cobb in Week 17 that provided the winning score in the team's victory over the Bears. That win sent the Packers to the playoffs and sent Chicago home for the season. Here's the play, in case you forgot:
