All right pack nation this is what I would do if I was TT.
Cuts: Bush the guy would be a cap casualty.
Resign/Restructure- Sam Shields would be my first propriety I would offer around 7 million annually to the guy. I would resign Quarless and Kuhn I think these guys would sign for cheap. I would also resign Pickett (I know this isn’t a popular one but I will explain later.
Cuts and restructures- First I would restructure Williams deal. I would also talk with brad jones about his deal. Jones did not produce much and if he would not take a pay cut I would look to cut him. Bush has been a great special teamer but it’s his time to go.
This is the ideal scenario that would bring the packers back to the top.
1st CJ Mosley ILB
2nd (trade up) Kyle Van Noy OLB
2nd Jenkins TE
3rd Christian Jones ILB
3rd(compensatory pick) Jimmy Ward S
4th Daniel McCullers NT
5th Marcus Martin C / Larsen
6th Jeremy Gallon WR
6th (compensatory pick) Jeff Mathews QB
7th Bennett Jackson CB
Chris Clemens S, Henry Melton DT/DE, Jeremy Maclin WR. Melton and Maclin would likely come relatively cheap. They would only receive one to two year deals because of they are coming off injuries. Both injuries occurred early in the season so by the end of the year they will be back to 100% Clemens will likely cost us 5 million a years. Which isn’t to bad, the kid is only 26 entering the prime of his career.
Our d would look outstanding on paper would be LE Jones NT Pickett RE Melton OLBS Mathews Noy ILB Mosley Jones maybe hawk if he beats him out CB Shields/ Williams FS Clemens SS Burnett
Rotational guys: DL Daniels/Worthy
CB Hayward/ Hyde/ House
Greenbay would literally have the most versatile defense in the league. We could run both a 3-4 and 4-3. Image this pass rush on 3 down DE jones/Perry DT Melton/Daniels LB Mathews/Mosley/Van Noy.
The offense would be unbelievable Wide receiving core would be amazing. Nelson/Maclin/Cobb/Boykin.
Lacy and Harris in the backfield with Arod leading the way…GB would be superbowl bound.
