There's a reason Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban keeps a tight leash on his staff, Lane Kiffin was at it again claiming Alabama's backfield was better than any in the NFL*. Of course this sparked lots of discussion and of course that led to NFL.com releasing a list. After being snubbed on their WR list the Packers trio of Eddie Lacy, James Starks, and Jonathan Franklin get some love from the pundits after they each put up a 100 yard game last season. No big deal, just happy to pass on some good Packer related news.
* For what it's worth I don't think Kiffin's statement was crazy at all. The backfield of TJ Yeldon, Kenyan Drake, and Derrick Henry will be a force this year. Yeldon is a stud, probably a first round pick next season and probably a started. Henry put 100 yards on 8 carries in a very forgettable Sugar Bowl and will no doubt in my mind be the next great back from 'Bama following Ingram, Richardson, Lacy, and Yeldon. If Drake can get his fumbles under control he may be in that succession as well.
