Oncde again, I shall be controversial...

With what has happened to Josh Gordon & others, the league's drug policy has been a topic of much discussion, lately... First, I'll offer my opinion, then ask yours.

First off, who am I: I'm a 25 yr old guy who was homeschooled all until college & therefore thankfully never hung around with anyone who drunk alcohol, smoked, or did any type of drugs on the formative years. As such, my views tend to be very hardline about any sort of drugs or too much alcohol.

Because of my hardline stance, I'm perfectly ok with the current punishments for weed or other drugs; I would argue that almost any regular partaking of mind altering substances is a major no-no for extremely physically demanding sports like pro football. Because the NFL is a sport in which drugs can have such negative effects, I would argue that it makes perfect sense for the NFL to prohibit the partaking of such drugs regardless of the legality of the drugs.

In conclusion, I would be ok with even harsher punishments for drug or excessive alcohol consumption & hope the Packers stay away from almost anyone with a history of such things.

May I ask for your views? But I would also ask for civil discourse & rational arguments. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts.
