Though the Green Bay Packers began their Organized Team Activities practices yesterday, today is the fans' first chance to see the 2015 squad in action, as the practice is open to the public. Many major media outlets and beat writers will be in attendance as well, and we'll be compiling their reports for you this afternoon.
In the meantime, join us while practice is underway to follow along with those very beat writers and others from practice while they relay the events of the day. Consider this your first practice thread of the year.

We also have one major news item to report from earlier today. It concerns a 2014 draft pick, wide receiver Jared Abbrederis from Wisconsin. This news should come as no surprise, since he tore his ACL in training camp less than 10 months ago:
No surprise but Abbrederis not participating in OTAs. ACL in camp last summer. No rush to get him back obviously.

However, as 247sports' Brian Carriveau notes, Bryan Bulaga did practice in OTAs a year ago at this time after a similar amount of recovery time.
UPDATE: Okay, maybe that earlier report is not entirely accurate. Abby is at practice and has his helmet.
Stay tuned for more from today's practice.
