Weighing the Packers 2016 Draft Class:

Hot takes. Best picks. Worst picks. Best draft class. Best pick in Xth round.

Forget it all.

I'm here with what is scientifically proven to be the most effective way in measuring how an NFL team's draft class stacks up against the opposition.

This is the 1st annual edition of:

WEIGHING THE PACKERS DRAFT CLASS

#27: Kenny Clark DT UCLA 314 lbs

#48: Jason Spriggs OT Indiana 301 lbs

#88: Kyler Fackrell LB Utah St 245 lbs

#131: Blake Martinez LB Stanford 237 lbs

#137: Dean Lowry DE Northwestern 296 lbs

#163: Trevor Davis WR Cal 188 lbs

#200: Kyle Murphy OT Stanford 305 lbs

That adds up to a grand total of 1886 lbs, at a value of 269.4 lbs per draft selection.

That bolded 269.4 is the magical number here, folks. I am weighing a team's draft class based on the average weight of their draft selections. You might stop and think, "But how does that number correlate to how good the team's draft class is?" To which I would reply, "...Now let's see how the rest of the division stacks up!"

Chicago Bears

#9: Leonard Floyd OLB Georgia 244 lbs

#56: Cody Whitehair OG Kansas St 301 lbs

#72: Jonathan Bullard DT Florida 285 lbs

Total weight: 2079 lbs

Value: 231 lbs per selection

Detroit Lions

#46: A'Shawn Robinson DT Alabama 307 lbs

#95: Graham Glasgow C Michigan 307 lbs

#111: Miles Killebrew SS S. Utah 217 lbs

#151: Joe Dahl OG Washington St. 304 lbs

#169: Antwione Williams LB Georgia Southern 245 lbs

#191: Jake Rudock QB Michigan 207 lbs

#202: Anthony Zettel DT Penn St 277 lbs

#210: Jimmy Landes LS Baylor 240 lbs

#236: Dwayne Washington RB Washington 226 lbs

Total weight: 2640 lbs

Value: 264.0 lbs per selection

Minnesota Vikings

#54: Mackensie Alexander CB Clemson 190 lbs

#121: Willie Beavers OT W. Michigan 324 lbs

#160: Kentrell Brothers LB Missouri 245 lbs

#180: Moritz Boehringer WR Not The USA 227 lbs

#188: David Morgan TE Texas-San Antonio 262 lbs

#227: Stephen Weatherly LB Vanderbilt 267 lbs

#244: Jayron Kearse S Clemson 216 lbs

Total weight: 1952 lbs

Value: 244 lbs per selection

So, as the numbers clearly and unequivocally reflect, the Packers have won the draft in undeniable fashion, and the Bears are pathetically puny... with the Vikings crawling right behind them. :)
