They've debuted the new packer throwback jersey at FanFest Friday. These uniforms were meant to replicate the 1929 ACME Packer uniforms. The jersey numbers are larger and names appear on the back to meet NFL guidelines. The helmets evidently are a plain brown to mimic the leather helmets used at that time. I kinda dig them. What does everybody else think?

When it comes to alternate jerseys to me, I'm a big fan of a team going retro with it. As a Blackhawks fan as well, it's been nice in the past to see them go old school with their alternate jersey because it was way for me to connect with a past I don't know much about. These jerseys are supposed to be older looking than the ones we saw in 1994. Hopefully they do it as accurately as possible. Sometimes teams (mostly the NBA) do an alternate retro uniform, but because of uniform standards the uniforms get lost in translation. What are people's thoughts?

The big-spending Redskins could not pry left tackle Chad Clifton away from the Packers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Clifton will get three years and $20 million from Green Bay. $7.5 million is guaranteed.
