Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE
The Packers have named six inactive players, as their roster stands at just 52 players at the moment.
The Green Bay Packers have named their inactive list for Sunday afternoon's game against the St. Louis Rams, and you might notice that the list is a short one. That's because D.J. Smith was placed on IR, but no signing was made. The Packers' roster currently has 52 players, so they only needed to name seven inactive players. None of the players who made the list are there by surprise.
RB Johnny White
CB Sam Shields
LB Nick Perry
G Greg Van Roten
WR Greg Jennings
DT B.J. Raji
There was some hope earlier in the week that Raji could play, but he's been declared out for quite a while. We're going to need to see a big game from Erik Walden today, and Dezman Moses should get some opportunities to impress as well. CB Davon House is active for the first time today, while Casey Hayward will get his first career start at corner. Terrell Manning is also active after spending the last few weeks inactive.
Rams inactive list:
QB Austin Davis
WR Danny Amendola
RB. Terrence Ganaway
LB Mario Haggan
DT Matthew Conrath
OT Wayne Hunter
OT Rodger Saffold
Amendola and Hunter are the big names there. The Rams' passing attack will struggle without them.
