To prepare for training camp, we will be breaking down every player on the Green Bay Packers' 90-man roster in more detail, looking at contract terms and 2013 statistics, before we make our prediction for which players will make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp.
We move now to address the Packers' two additions at cornerback.

Goodson is old for a rookie. After three seasons playing basketball at Gonzaga, Goodson transferred to Baylor in pursuit of an NFL career. As a result, he turned 25 just over a month ago. While that's usually the death knell for one's pro prospects, Goodson's length and athleticism made him attractive enough for the Packers to select him late in the draft. There are plenty of corners currently ahead of him, but if one of the rookies can beat out Jarrett Bush it's him.
#43 Ryan White
5-10, 197 lbs.
How acquired: undrafted free agent signee, 2014
2014 Contract Terms (signed through 2016)
Base salary: $420,000
Total compensation: $420,000
Cap number: $420,000

Ryan White faces several obstacles in his pursuit of a spot on the Packers' 53. First, the team favors cornerbacks 5-11 or above, a threshold White fails to meet. He'll also have to jump ahead of fellow rookie Demetri Goodson. If he somehow overcomes both, he'll still need to defeat the possibly immortal Jarrett Bush. Long odds indeed.
