Cheesestradamus Season In Review
After a two-week hiatus in which I was able to regroup and grade some papers (by which I mean your bonus predictions), we finally have our results from the second half of the Cheesestradamus season. With an unbelievable performance in the double entry Week 17, your second half winner is:
Power296!
Who is this person, you ask? Well, this is just the person who put up the single-week record of 16 points in the Lions-Packers entry, and added on 6 points in the Across the NFL entry to come from one point back to win the second half by a staggering 5 points. And that's with 2nd-place finisher Swenny916 getting good performances of 6 and 10 respectively. Please extend your congratulations to Mr. or Ms. or Mrs. Power, as he/she will be the recipient of a gift card to the Packers Pro Shop (courtesy of our benevolent leader, Brandon).
Your results can be found after the jump.
Oh, and just for the hell of it, let's do a Cheesestradamus contest for the Giants-Packers playoff game. No gift cards will be on the line during the playoffs, but enjoy the contest anyway.
Cheesestradamus Week 17: Doubly Cheesy
Well everyone, we have come to the final week of the season, and the final week of Cheesestradamus. But this is a double-points week, so a slim lead in the standings can mean next to nothing if you're not on your game. I apologize for the late update of the form last week, but I've gone over both of this week's forms diligently to make sure that there are no issues.
After Week 16, Swenny916 holds a one-point lead in the standings over power296, who in turn is up by two points over the tandem of Jabooty and neilfunk69. Three points is a small margin though, with a maximum of 48 points on the line this week.
I have two separate forms set up for Week 17. The first is the typical form for this week's Packers-Lions game. The second is similar to the bye week post, with eight questions spanning across the entire NFL. Your categories to predict are below:

Note: for the Flynn pick, please follow this example format: "3:30 remaining in 3rd quarter"

Cheesestradamus Week 14: Raiders @ Packers
In week 13, Cheesestradamus players had a middle of the road week, with an average of 3.2 points per submission. Power296 took the top spot with an 11 point week, as he was the only person to break double digits. We have a tight race at the top of the overall standings, with paterack7 holding a one-point lead.
In week 14, the Oakland Raiders come to town to play the Pack. This week's Cheesestradamus categories are:
Packers' score

Cheesestradamus Week 13: Packers @ Giants and Thanksgiving Recap
It's Friday, which means that I'm slacking off on this weekend's Cheesestradamus contest. Never fear, though, the post is here!
In week 12, we got the best bonus prediction of the season: Tuna guessed that Ndamukong Suh would be ejected from the game. I don't know if that was a shot in the dark or some sort of psychic insight, but good work by you, Tuna! Several people also guessed that Aaron Rodgers would win the Galloping Gobbler award, a prediction which I seriously thought about not counting. However, since Rodgers was 0 for 1 in opportunities to win it (Driver won in 2009), I have to credit those people with the points according to the rules. Finally, NorthStarr won Week 12 with a 13 point day, and he now shares the lead with paterack7.
Categories for Week 13:
Packers' score
Giants' score
Packers' first touchdown
Giants' first reception
Packers' passing yards (3 points if +/- 10 yards, 2 points +/- 20 yards, 1 point +/- 30 yards)
Packers' rushing attempts (3 points for exact, 2 points for +/- 1 attempt, 1 point for +/- 2)
Packers' sacks

Cheesestradamus Turkey Day Edition: Packers @ Lions
Fire up the oven, get your fork and knife, and [insert additional turkey-related pun here], because it's time for the Thanksgiving edition of Cheesestradamus! Note: the Thanksgiving edition is only slightly different than an ordinary week, mainly different for the fact that it takes place on Thanksgiving Day during the Packers-Lions game. Co-leader Danwood will try to bounce back from a rough Week 11, while new co-leaders paterack7 and uglyfatpimplynerd look to claim the top spot alone. Week 11 results and standings are after the jump.
Your categories for Thanksgiving predictions:
Packers' score
Lions' score
First Packers TD
Matthew Stafford's passing yards (points at +/- 10, 20, and 30 yards)
Desmond Bishop total tackles (solo + assisted)
Total Field Goals made by both teams
Number of Packers who record a reception
Bonus prediction
And, for one point each, pick the winners of the Dolphins-Cowboys afternoon game and the 49ers-Ravens game for dessert in the evening.

Cheesestradamus Week 11: Buccaneers @ Packers
The second week of the second half of Cheesestradamus has arrived! Let me first apologize for a lack of a Week 10 recap post - it's been a crazy week, so the recap can be found after the jump. Before we look to the past, though, let's take a look ahead to Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers instead.
The usual categories are present, as always, but with Tampa's suspect pass defense, I thought we should take a look at the passing game. You'll predict Aaron Rodgers' passer rating (with the usual point levels at +/- 2.5, 5, and 7.5 points), as well as the player who will be on the receiving end of the Packers' first completed pass. We'll then take a look to the defense; you'll predict the number of sacks the Packers will record and the total yards they'll allow to the Bucs. That one will have points at +/- 10, 20, and 30 yards for 3, 2, and 1 point each.
Before the jump, let me congratulate the Week 10 winner, Danwood, on his 12-point performance. Good work, sir.

Cheesestradamus Week 10: MIN @ GB - Starting Over
With the first half of the season in the books, everybody's score now has reset to zero. Congratulations to miguelito1734 on his triumph in the first half, but now we move on. Best of luck to everyone in the second half!
Your predictions for this week: guess the Packer who records the first full individual sack of the game for the Packers. Half-sacks will not count; we're going for the first full individual sack. You'll also guess how many touches James Starks will have, with +/- 1, 2, and 3 touches being the partial credit levels. Then we have the total number of turnovers in the game by both teams and the number of penalties assessed (and accepted against the Packers. Obviously you'll also pick both teams' scores, the first Packer to score a TD, and your bonus prediction as usual.
If you need a rules refresher, see the Week 1 post. Your final first half standings are after the jump. Good luck to all!
