Applauding Aaron Rodgers

The Packers hosted Fan Fest over the weekend at Lambeau Field. It would be great if you could really rub shoulders with some of the players, but fighting through a crowd of 3,500 serious Packer fans probably doesn't allow much time to meet with the players or coaches. The crowd gave QB Aaron Rodgers a warm welcome:

It was no accident one of the loudest ovations was for Favre's successor, Aaron Rodgers.
He's only 24 years old and has made a lot of progress over the last three seasons. His limited appearances in 2005 and 2006 showed nothing, but he looked really good when given a chance in the 2007 preseason and coming off the bench at Dallas.
"I have zero concerns about Aaron Rodgers. I think his time is now," McCarthy said in a televised interview that was live for the Fan Fest crowd. "He is ready to go, and he will have another offseason to prepare for that."
The only concern is that he's managed to get hurt in each of the last two seasons in the brief time he has been on the field. Will he stay healthy beyond his first game in 2008?

If he can stay healthy
I'm not worried.  I'm pretty excited about Rogers. I think he can be pretty great.
