Free Agent Keyshawn Johnson Signs With ESPN

ESPN must have liked what they saw from WR Keyshawn Johnson during his extended tryout during the NFL draft because they signed the free agent and beat out several teams, including the Packers, for his services.

It was interesting that Reggie McKenzie really tried to pursuade Johnson to give Green Bay a chance when they had shown so little interest in the free agent wide receivers available this offseason.

His 2006 performance showed that he had something left in the tank, but he wouldn't have single handedly carried the offense. WR James Jones appears to be off to a good start and hopefully the extra playing time that will come his way without Johnson around will bring him closer to becoming a quality wide receiver.
