Depth Is An Issue On Offense

QB Brett Favre had a great game on Sunday despite the fact that the Packers almost ran out of lineman. The injury to G Tony Palmer is really sad. The former St. Louis 7th round draft choice had a good preseason, judging by the good play of the 2nd team offensive line during the preseason, and was starting to receive some playing time on offense, but then suffers a serious neck injury. Luckily the starters are staying healthy, minus RG Jason Spitz but G Junius Coston is playing just as well in his place. The return of the versatile G Tony Moll is a big boost to the depth and maybe rookie 4th round G Allen Barbre will finally get activated for a game in place of Palmer. Even if Palmer does go on I.R., Moll's return should eliminate the need to add another offensive lineman.

Maybe they will add another wide receiver. Depth is an issue there too with WR Carlyle Holiday out for the season and WR Greg Jennings still hurting, but adding WR David Clowney from the practice squad wouldn't give Favre that much additional help. Maybe it's time to start wondering when WR Koren Robinson will be reinstated by the league?

Or maybe another running back since RB Vernand Morency still can't go. However recently acquired RB Ryan Grant got over his hamstring injury and had a big pass reception against his former team.
