If GM Ted Thompson a made trade this weekend, it seemed most likely that he would bring in a 3rd string QB. Instead he decided to add another running back. RB Ryan Grant wasn't setting the world on fire this preseason, but he was playing pretty well. Over at Big Blue View, they said Grant was playing well and although he lost the battle for the 4th RB spot, he should make the practice squad. He's outplayed RB Reuben Droughns but that isn't exactly a challenge these days.
If everyone is healthy, he's the Packers 5th running back. However, every running back is either injured or coming back from an earlier preseason injury, so Grant might be looking at playing a part in the upcoming season, depending on how the rest and recovery goes for all the other running backs this week.
