Now it's 2008 and the season's over for most of the NFL, so it's time to start speculating about the April NFL draft. The Packers will have the 29th overall selection in case you didn't guess it from the title of this post. For what it's worth, one of the best draft sites projects the Packers will draft CB Mike Jenkins from South Florida. I'm not keen on selecting a cornerback in the first round because the Packers have had some bad luck with first round corners, CB Ahmad Carroll is the most recent but there sure have been a lot of busts at cornerback over the years. Still CBs Al Harris and Charles Woodson are over 30 and aren't getting any younger. I'm sure this will be the first of about 161 posts I'll have between now and April 26th about the draft.
