I hadn't heard of him until earlier this week. He wasn't drafted out of Penn State in 2007. He spent some time with the NY Jets last season and punted in one game. From Tom Silverstein:
"A four-year starter at Penn State, Kapinos has punted in big games and in the cold. During his senior season, Kapinos was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award given to college football's top punter. In four years, Kapinos totaled more yards than any punter in school history (10,476) and had three of the top nine season performances...
The Jets signed Kapinos to the active roster for the final three games and let him punt against Tennessee on Dec. 23. On five punts, he averaged 41.6 yards gross and 36.4 net. Two of the punts were inside the 20 and just one was returned, for 6 yards."
We'll see how he does on Sunday.
