One player I didn't point out during the first preseason game was rookie RG Josh Sitton. As Bob McGinn said, he didn't play great, but it was o.k. for a rookie in his first game. He played well most of the time, but the hit on QB Aaron Rodgers wasn't entirely his fault. He could have picked up Cincinnati's DE Robert Geathers, but Rodgers held the ball for a while and Geathers moved off RT Mark Tauscher and ran right by Sitton on the busted play. That's a lot to ask for from a rookie at a new position.
After reading McGinn's article, it seems OL Jason Spitz is a lock for starting somewhere on the line, and that should be at right guard once C Scott Wells is healthy. Second year LG Allen Barbre appears to have the left guard position secured, and the tackle positions were never in doubt. Former starters Daryn Colledge, Junius Coston, and Tony Moll all have experience and should make the team because they can play multiple positions. Any other offensive lineman on the roster will have to really show something to survive training camp.
Starters:
LT Clifton, LG Barbre, C Wells, RG Spitz, RT Tauscher
