- The first OTA practice was on Wednesday and almost everyone showed up. A few players attended but didn't practice due to injury. The only no-show was S Nick Collins. He's dealing with "family issues." But his agent says Collins is dealing with contract issues. Maybe he's dealing with both.
- The Thursday practice starts at 11:15 CST and is open to the public.
- Hall of Fame, and former Vikings QB, Fran Tarkenton, thinks the idea of QB Brett Favre playing for the Vikings is "despicable." But did he say "despicable" in a Daffy Duck voice? Did he say whether That's Incredible! is coming back to TV?
- It wasn't a big deal when the Packers let LB Paris Lenon sign with Detroit after the 2005 season. After 12 starts in 2005, it looked like Lenon didn't have enough size or speed to be an effective starter. Surprisingly, he started 48 games for Detroit over the last three seasons. Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised since the Lions didn't have anyone else who could have started. Now he's signed with New England, but Patriot fans are a little concerned about adding another ex-Lion to their roster:
That’s two starters picked up from what Football Outsiders considers the worst defense ever – BB better work some magic here!
