From Vermont Cubs Fan: "I gave the ball to Rodgers because of his stat line, but the whole team deserves it. They didn’t just beat the Vikings, they annihilated them." And from Packers3485: "Anyone else surprised that this was Rodgers’ first regular season 4 touchdown game?" I think QB Aaron Rodgers deserves it just for having his first 4 TD game.
His stat line was fantastic, but I liked the way he rallied from a lousy first quarter in which he completed only one pass for 7 yards, and lost 15 yards on 2 sacks. He basically sat out the fourth quarter (he went 2 of 2 for 30 yards and 1 TD in the 4th), so he was in the zone from the middle of the second quarter until the middle of the fourth quarter. It's pretty impressive to pile up those stats when it's not garbage time either.
Rodgers has avoided turnovers in recent weeks, and he's reconnected with WR Greg Jennings in the absence of TE Jermichael Finley and WR Donald Driver (for a couple games). Can he keep it up? While the competition will get better as soon as next Sunday, he'll be playing once again in a dome against a Falcons pass defense that has struggled at home against QB Joe Flacco and QB Carson Palmer.
