The fate of QB JaMarcus Russell isn't a big issue for a Green Bay Packers fan, unless the Vikings lose their minds and actually sign him, but his arrest for possession of codeine syrup is similar to the legal problems faced by DE Johnny Jolly. Based on this Outside The Lines story, I hope the NFL and/or the players' union is doing something to help players avoid this stuff.
It's been mentioned that Jolly's arrest has put his career in jeopardy. What does this do for Russell? If he doesn't sign with a team this month, his NFL career is probably over.
