Injury Report: Packers at Falcons

The Green Bay Packers have twelve players on the injury report, which would be a lot for almost every team in the NFL. Except it's business as usual for the Packers. The complete injury report from Packers.com:

OUT: LB Frank Zombo. QUESTIONABLE: SS Atari Bigby, FB Korey Hall, OL Jason Spitz. PROBABLE: LB Diyral Briggs, RT Bryan Bulaga, LT Chad Clifton, WR Donald Driver, DE Cullen Jenkins, LB Clay Matthews, DE Ryan Pickett, CB Charles Woodson.

Zombo, Bigby, and Hall have missed the past few games, and while Zombo is out, Bigby and Hall are game time decisions. It's possible they'll be left inactive even if they're ready to play. Spitz was injured during practice, and they may just hold him out anyway since he's barely played at all this season. Everyone listed as probable will start (except Briggs who plays on special teams).

As for the Falcons, they have seven players on their injury report, and everyone is expected to play except for nickel back CB Brian Williams. It's odd that they've listed nearly everyone as 'Questionable' (50% chance he'll play) when it's almost a given they'll all play and they should be listed as 'Probable'. Williams hasn't practiced all week, and it seems highly unlikely he'll play on Saturday.

The Falcoholic noted that Williams has outplayed his likely replacement, CB Christopher Owens, this season. The Packers deployed a five wide receiver look in their last meeting (WR Brett Swain even had 2 catches for 40 yards) which will put an additional strain on the Falcons depleted secondary if they use that formation again. The Falcons are one of the healthiest teams in the NFL, but this is one injury that hits them at a bad spot.
