It wasn't pretty in the second half, but the Green Bay Packers held on and beat the Bears by a score of 21 to 14. They're the first No. 6 NFC playoff seed to make it to the Super Bowl. Who was the player of the game?
It was a tale of two halves. I could pick a few guys on offense based on the first half. But they all vanished in the second half. WR Greg Jennings was fantastic and so was WR Jordy Nelson (so was QB Aaron Rodgers in the first half only), but they all vanished or disappointed in the second half. I'll stick with Jennings, but I'll go for three players on defense.
DE Cullen Jenkins stopped a couple first half drives single handedly, and ended the game with a half-sack, two quarterback hits, and two tackles for a loss. NT B.J. Raji had two quarterback hits of his own, but no play was bigger than the game winning touchdown he returned after an interception. And CB Sam Shields, who had two interceptions in the red zone and caught the INT that ended the game.
