I had thought the Green Bay Packers weren't practicing until Friday, so I was really surprised when an injury report from practice came out on Wednesday. In reality, the Packers didn't practice. Their injury report was an estimate. They estimated that WR Greg Jennings would be limited, if they had actually had a practiced. What is the point of that?
A real injury is to Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey. His teammate, OL Chris Kemoeatu, said that Pouncey won't play in the Super Bowl. Pouncey himself had said he was going to play, but that seemed unlikely as I watched him hobble on the sidelines during the AFC Championship game. He's had a great rookie season, and was named to the Pro Bowl and second team All-Pro. His replacement is OL Doug Legursky, who botched two snaps in the AFC Championship game (one for a safety). It's not a devastating loss, but it's far from good news.
