Packers Add Ray Dominguez From Practice Squad

The Packers reported that they've added undrafted rookie OL Ray Dominguez to the active roster. He's been on the practice squad since the start of the season, and he replaces S Nick Collins who was finally placed on injured reserve.

As the Press-Gazette noted, if RT Bryan Bulaga can't play on Sunday, he returned to practice on Wednesday wearing a brace, their only backup lineman would be Evan Dietrich-Smith. Depending on whether Bulaga starts, Dominguez could be active on Sunday for depth.

The good news is that Dominguez has experience at guard and tackle, and played both positions for the Packers this preseason, but he wasn't very good at either one of them. The Packers had a collection of struggling undrafted players battling for a backup job, and Dominguez was the best of the bunch. They had tried out a couple lineman in the last couple weeks, but they couldn't find anyone better than Dominguez.
