Morgan Burnett Breaks His Hand In Practice

The Green Bay Packers may be without S Morgan Burnett on Sunday. You can enter the curse word of your choice here. From the Press-Gazette:

Burnett has a broken hand, happened in yesterday’s practice.

He's got his hand in a club, and he's listed as probable on the injury report. He could play with it, but obviously he's not grabbing any INTs with only one hand. This might not be a major problem in the face of the Rams anemic pass offense, and the bye week is coming up soon, but it sure doesn't help.

If Burnett is out, then undrafted rookie S M.D. Jennings is next in line. He took Burnett's reps in practice on Friday. He seemed like just another guy during the preseason, but the Packers kept him over a few other defensive backs. It didn't seem like the team was very excited about starting him, but he'll cause minimal damage as a starter against Rams at home.
