While Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was once again the week's 2nd best QB in their victory over the Rams, the following comment was written by Vince Verhei after the Packers defeated the Falcons. From Football Outsiders:
Rodgers' excellence is so routine that it's getting hard to find new things to say about it.
I have to say I agree. Once again this week, he was the overwhelming choice as player of the game in our post-game poll. C'mon Aaron! Let someone else hog all the glory for once (just kidding).
I did think that Clay Matthews might win the vote this week because he made so many plays in the backfield, and he sent Sam Bradford home with a high ankle sprain injury. I don't think he was trying to hurt Bradford, and the entire sack was a tangled mess of players (I believe LT Rodger Saffold was injured on the same play), but it did make me think of the iconic Al Davis quote.
