With no game ball of the week to award, I looked back at where all the game balls have gone this season. I doubt anyone will be too surprised at which player for the Green Bay Packers has been leading the way.
Aaron Rodgers has five times won the APC post-game poll in victories over the Saints, the Broncos, the Falcons, the Rams, and the Vikings.
He's only let two other teammates share the glory with him this season. CB Charles Woodson earned it by grabbing 2 INTs and recovering a fumble against the Panthers. TE Jermichael Finley won it for catching three touchdowns against the Bears.
Sometimes I get caught up in the homerism for certain players, but Rodgers is having a remarkable season. He's by far the top rated quarterback according to Football Outsiders, ESPN's QBR, and the classic passer rating. And he's even got something for the NFL commentators who just love guys who know how to win: he's won the last 13 games he's started.
