Here's what qualifies as Aaron Rodgers's worst game of the season for the Green Bay Packers

Maybe you could argue his game against the Rams was his worst. He had a similar game against the Bears, but it was on the road against a better defense. It was a little surprising that he struggled at all because their pass defense is so bad, but obviously we're getting used to perfection. Any sign of imperfection is unusual.

I don't think the Buccaneers figured him out (see here for a discussion last week about the schemes that could cause him problems). According to the Journal-Sentinel, Rodgers told reporters that the Buccaneers (home of the Tampa 2 defense) played a lot of man coverage. Man coverage is something he usually torches, but he apparently wasn't expecting it.

Aaron Schatz noted that it looked like Rodgers just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Rodgers remains a pretty modest guy about it. After the game, he told reporters that he was frustrated and that he didn't throw the ball well. On the other hand, he could have said WTF? I just threw three touchdown passes!

He was a little off (from his usual absolute precision) and the only pass that really surprised me was the interception on a ball thrown to James JonesHe told reporters that he just didn't see the defender. Jones could have done more, but the pass shouldn't have been thrown in the first place. He just made a mistake, which isn't something I've written about him much this season. Maybe that should be the headline: after 10 games, Rodgers finally throws a bad pass.
