Return nears for Sitton, Clifton - JSOnline. While the offensive line has played well this season, and played fine without LT Chad Clifton and RG Josh Sitton, they're better with them. It's not essential, but they'd both be better off if they can play in a regular season game before the playoffs.

Green Bay Packers news | Notebook: Blowout lets coaches test out Sherrod | Green Bay Press Gazette. I was worried that Derek Sherrod hadn't been improving this season. It's hard to tell when he doesn't play. So I'm glad to read that he's improved enough to earn some playing time in a blowout win. Even if it does start a mini-left tackle controversy.

The Press-Gazette also notes that D.J. Smith and Robert Francois were awarded game balls. I'm not a huge fan of A.J. Hawk, who was mad that he was held out against the Raiders. But I don't want Smith and Francois as the starting inside linebackers for a Super Bowl run (just too much inexperience) and I'll be glad to see Hawk (and Desmond Bishop) back soon.

Source: Packers To Activate WR Tori Gurley Soon | AllGreenBayPackers.Com. Would they move him to the active roster because they want to avoid another wide receiver injury (more time on the bench for Jordy Nelson)? Or are they just trying to reward a promising young player, who they'll probably leave inactive each week? I'm not sure who would be released or placed on I.R. to make room for him.
