Kyle Orton (Or Ricky Stanzi) Will Be Starting For The Chiefs

New Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel told reporters today that former starting QB Tyler Palko is now the 3rd string QB. Either Kyle Orton will start, injured finger permitting, or rookie QB Ricky Stanzi against the Green Bay Packers.

Fun fact: this will be Orton's second start of the season against the Packers. The last time a quarterback started for two different teams in the same season against the same opponent was Kerry Collins back in 1998.

I'm sure no one is shaking in their boots at prospects of facing Orton for the second time this season. But he arguably had his best game of the season in their last meeting when he was still a member of the Broncos. He threw for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns. Wide receivers Brandon Lloyd and Eric Decker were his primary targets. He also threw a fourth touchdown, but that was a pick six to Charles Woodson. He threw three interceptions in total, and I don't expect he will do much better now that he's on a new team with unfamiliar receivers.
