Unsung players prepared to answer Packers' role call - JSOnline. The story is about backup RB Brandon Saine, but he makes a good point about the Green Bay Packers. He knew they're more likely to promote from within while many teams are more likely to add a street free agent then someone from the practice squad. After RB Alex Green was lost for the season, Saine has played in the last four games, and he should remain active for the rest of the season. That's a lot of valuable experience for an undrafted player.
Giants' Perry Fewell irate after defense's performance against Saints | NJ.com. And he should be: it was an embarrassing performance. Fewell said his defense has to get after Aaron Rodgers, which is what Rodgers himself suggested earlier this week. Of course, other teams have tried that and failed.
Green Bay Packers news | Neal remains patient as snaps increase | Green Bay Press Gazette. He was on the Bad Day Team according to Pro Football Focus, but this is basically the preseason for Mike Neal. Actually, he's more like a rookie (only 4 career NFL games played) and until he returned two weeks ago, he hadn't played in a game since October 2010. He hasn't even practiced all that often. I wish he was doing more, but a lot of patience is needed with him. Maybe he'll do what James Starks did last season and become a factor once the playoffs start.
