On Wisconsin's Pro Day: Watt and Carimi Headline

The Top Two names at the Wisconsin Badgers Pro Day would both fit well into the Green Bay Packers needs. And as usual, both Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson attended the nearby event.

I've seen DE J.J Watt going as high as No. 10 in our SB Nation mock draft, and mid-round in others. He's not the best athlete, but he played at a high level in college with a high motor. He would slot in very well into the spot likely vacated by DE Cullen Jenkins.

There's been some concern that OL Gabe Carimi is better off as a future right tackle, which might work out perfectly if the Packers think Bryan Bulaga is a future left tackle. But Carimi has apparently shown enough as a left tackle, and he could be the best one available in a weak draft class for tackles. I see him consistently in the low-20s in our SB Nation mock draft and on CBS Sports.com

Both players helped themselves at their pro day, which is common as most players seem to perform better at a friendly location. Earlier I had talked about either player as a potential selection at pick No. 32, but both of them have risen enough that neither are likely to be available. If the Packers want them, then they're going to have to trade up and get them. But should they?
