As If The Labor Negotiations Weren't Bad Enough: HGH Testing

One other bit of bad news that came out of the NFL labor negotiations this week is that the league wants the players tested for HGH (human growth hormone), as reported by FoxSports.com. Just another step towards extending the lockout and making the UFL's dream of attracting NFL free agents a reality.

Matt Bowen at the National Football Post explains the problem: it's a blood test instead of a urine test. The players have agreed to urine testing, but as anyone who has a problem with needles can tell you, it's more invasive. As Bowen says, "the NFL could be asking for something (again) during this labor battle that they have no chance of obtaining from the perspective of the players."
