On The Return Of Jermichael Finley in 2011

New, comments

The Press-Gazette quoted WR Greg Jennings and WR Donald Driver on the expected return of TE Jermichael Finley. They spoke about the mismatches he presented:

"I definitely think with (Finley) out, there were some things we were able to do with five wides that we weren’t able to do with him," Jenning said Friday while making an appearance at ESPN The Weekend in Florida. "But you put a guy like that back on the field, it opens things up even more. He’s a big part of what we do.

I'm a little torn about this. As much potential as Finley provides in the passing game, his pass attempts did appear to come at the expense of Jennings, who was much more productive after Finley was lost for the season. As Jennings points out: Finley is a unique talent. But they need to find a better way of utilizing Finley together with Jennings in the offense next season
