Washington Post: The Forgotten Five

New, comments

My latest at The League looks at those teams that Pro Football Talk called "the forgotten five." Only five teams were not selected to play a nationally televised game in 2011. There are so many of them (Sunday, Monday, Thursday nights) that I found it surprising that so many teams actually appear on national games.

The forgotten five: Carolina, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Arizona and Tennessee.

The 2011 draft order: Carolina, Denver, Buffalo, Cincinnati and Arizona.

Unsurprisingly, winning is everything in the NFL. Only Denver, which might pack more of a ratings punch due to its likely larger fan base and the prospect of starting QB Tim Tebow next season, was the exception.
