Via Pro Football Talk is an article from the Washington Post on the Washington Redskins interest in free agent DE Cullen Jenkins. Some franchises might be gun shy after turning a great player (DT Albert Haynesworth was outstanding his last two seasons in Tennessee) into one of the worst free agent signings of all time. But I doubt the Redskins will ever be a timid player in free agency.
Jenkins deserves a big payday for what he can do as a pass rusher. And the Redskins could use Jenkins as a DE in a 3-4 scheme who would provide an upgrade over ex-Packer DE Vonnie Holliday or former Rams 1st round bust DE Adam Carriker. They drafted Clemson DE Jarvis Jenkins in the second round, but he might be more of a run stopper than pass rusher. With Jarvis Jenkins starting at DE on the strong side, they could put Cullen Jenkins over the left tackle, which is the position he's played the last two seasons.
