In a recent post over at The League, I've been writing about the quarterbacks taken in the 2011 NFL Draft. It's looking like the Panthers are going all in QB Cam Newton starting in 2011, and I expect the Titans will give the job to QB Jake Locker. Maybe the Titans will give another contract to QB Kerry Collins, but both Locker and Collins have to learn the new offense in Tennessee and it might be better long-term to give all those snaps to Locker.

Things are different in Jacksonville, where QB Blaine Gabbert figures to wait at least one year behind incumbent QB David Garrard

Speaking of development time, the Jacksonville Jaguars again surprised most everyone when they traded up to for QB Blaine Gabbert. Accuracy is an issue for him as he struggled to complete even 30 percent of his passes of over 15 yards, and he’ll have to adjust from the spread offense he played in college.
