With their second preseason game against the Cardinals on Friday looming, one player returned to practice for the Green Bay Packers this week while a couple players were out on Wednesday. DE Mike Neal was the big injury news on Tuesday, he didn't practice today despite saying yesterday he was fine, and Mike McCarthy said Neal was "day-to-day." There were a couple other players out due to injury according to the Press-Gazette:
In other injury news, McCarthy said Anthony Levine suffered a concussion when he collided with Pat Lee in practice on Tuesday. Rookie Lawrence Guy is also suffering from the symptoms of a concussion he had earlier in camp.
Unfortunately for Levine and Guy, neither did too much in their first preseason game against the Browns, and are probably candidates for the practice squad at this point.
It's good to read that rookie 3rd round RB Alex Green did return to practice on Tuesday, so he should play on Friday. I doubt his roster spot is in danger, the Packers won't give up on a 3rd round pick this quickly, but undrafted free agent RB Brandon Saine showed some promise against the Browns as a decent rusher and a good receiver.
