Randall Cobb Is A Bit Vague About His Injury

It was reported that Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb suffered a knee bruise during their preseason game on Friday, but it appears to still be bothering him a couple days later. From JS Online.com:

When asked whether he had bruises on both knees, he said, "It's an injury. But it won't be anything that will hinder me and (make) me miss a lot of time. We're taking it day by day right now and trying to get better each day."

With a deep group of receivers on the roster, not much was expected of Cobb at the start of the season other than on kickoffs. I'm not really expecting a lot out of the receiving game either, so it's not a big difference if RB Alex Green is back on kickoffs for a couple weeks.

Tom Silverstein mentioned that the injury could keep Cobb out for the start of the regular season, but we'll just have to wait and see. He could use the experience from these last two preseason games, so I hope he's able to come back for at least one of them.
