Marshall Newhouse Is Padding His Stats Against Stiffs

Many of the tweets from the reporters during training camp have been counting how the offensive lineman did against defensive lineman in one-on-one drills. I don't write much about these drills because I put more weight on what I see from the lineman during the preseason games.

Rob Demovsky kept track off all these stats during training camp, and wrote a post with the results. I'm not going to worry because Clay Matthews wasn't awesome at it, but on the other hand, the fact that undrafted rookie DL Eli Joseph never graded out ahead of an offensive lineman probably means he's not sticking with the team.

To put these stats in some context, Rob Demovsky tweeted an addendum that made me laugh. I guess I'm really tired. And I'm glad to see that my eyes haven't betrayed me and Bryan Bulaga is really a better blocker than Marshall Newhouse.

Lots of those reps were against stiffs RT @packersinsider: Marshall Newhouse really 26-2? That's better than Clifton, Bulaga, and Sitton.less than a minute ago via Twitter for Android Favorite Retweet Reply
