Packers Back At Practice On Wednesday Night

Maybe the biggest headline yesterday was the Green Bay Packers will be heading to the White House on the Friday before their first preseason game. They'll miss a practice on Friday to make the trip to Washington D.C. before flying to Cleveland.

At practice, there was news on a couple players in particular.

DL Lawrence Guy, their 7th round pick, suffered a concussion during practice which could keep him out for a little while. While health is always a concern, a bigger problem might be that he's getting flattened by undrafted rookies at practice, according to Rob Demovsky

While TE Jermichael Finley was back doing team drills for the first time, S Morgan Burnett also did his first work with the starters. Mike McCarthy noted that he "had a couple very nice breaks on the ball." While I've been expecting that S Charlie Peprah would keep the starting job, maybe Burnett is already the front runner. Ty Dunne tweets that "they want him there."

And Wayne Larrivee tweeted that rookie DB Davon House "showed up in coverage tonight" while wearing CB Al Harris's (who's now with the Rams) old No. 31.
