I hesitate to write this because the Green Bay Packers have so far shown no indication that RB Ryan Grant won't return as the starter. If he can play, then I expect he'll be the starter.
Just as a reminder: Grant was fantastic in 2007 and 2009. Those were outstanding seasons, and his 2008 season wasn't as good because he was playing through a hamstring injury. I'm really not surprised that they seem to be sticking with him.
On the other hand, Mike McCarthy had no fear in suddenly promoting James Starks ahead of Brandon Jackson, and even John Kuhn to some extent, during their first playoff game in Philadelphia. He's obviously shown a lot of faith in him.
Will Grant be the starter now that he's healthy, or will Starks prove he's a better player?
