Packers vs. Jaguars: Game time, TV schedule and radio info

The Green Bay Packers are seriously hobbled by injuries, but are still heavy favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Doug Pensinger

The Green Bay Packers finally appear to be back on track towards a playoff berth, which is probably why some are referring to Sunday's game as a trap game. The Jacksonville Jaguars are a demonstrably poor team, and they're missing their best offensive weapon, Maurice Jones-Drew. Their quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, is a middle-of-the-road QB to begin with and is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing arm. Green Bay should win comfortably.

However, the Packers are facing injuries of their own. Greg Jennings is still out, and will be out for the next few weeks. Jordy Nelson is questionable, and probably won't see as many snaps as usual even if he is active. The injury bug is biting the Packers hard, and they're nowhere near full strength.

That's exactly why I'm not buying this as a trap game. Even without Jennings, Cedric Benson, D.J. Smith, Sam Shields, Charles Woodson, and potentially Nelson and B.J. Raji, the Packers are a better team than the Jaguars, but because those players are hurt, they're not going to think this game will be a walkover. A lot of players know they need to step up on Sunday.
