So the night before Thanksgiving brought some good news and some bad news on the injury front. Now that we have the final injury report not much has changed….the Packers are still less dinged up than a few weeks ago, but they are also going to be missing some key players this week. Here’s the final injury report:
Name | Position | Injury | Fri Status | Game Status |
Donald Driver | WR | Thumb | LP | Probable |
Greg Jennings | WR | Groin / Abdomen | LP | Questionable |
John Kuhn | FB | Hamstring | LP | Probable |
Terrell Manning | LB | Shoulder | LP | Out |
Clay Matthews | LB | Hamstring | DNP | Out |
Andrew Quarless | TE | Knee | LP | Questionable |
B.J. Raji | DT | Ankle | FP | Probable |
Sam Shields | CB | Ankle | Out | Out |
Vic So'oto | LB | Illness | FP | Probable |
Erik Walden | LB | Ankle | FP | Probable |
Charles Woodson | DB | Collarbone | Out | Out |
For those keeping track at home the players who we know won’t play are Clay Matthews, Sam Shields, Terrell Manning, and Charles Woodson. It’s unfortunate for Shields and Matthews to be there, but Woodson and Manning are either not surprising or not earth shattering. Andrew Quarless and Greg Jennings are listed as questionable…so there’s a chance…but it’s not likely either. The best news out of all of this is that Matthews and Jennings should be able to go next week against the Vikings.
The Giants also released their final injury report as well….
Name | Position | Injury | Fri Status | Game Status |
David Baas | C | Ankle / Elbow | FP | Probable |
Ahmad Bradshaw | RB | Foot | LP | Probable |
Domenik Hixon | WR | Ankle | DNP | Out |
Linval Joseph | DT | Knee | LP | Probable |
Kenny Phillips | S | Knee | LP | Questionable |
Keith Rivers | LB | Calf / Knee | LP | Questionable |
Tyler Sash | S | Ankle | FP | Probable |
Chris Snee | G | Ankle | FP | Probable |
Jacquian Williams | LB | Knee | DNP | Out |
The Giants have only two players marked out this week, Domenik Hixon and Jacquian Williams. Both players highlighted earlier in the week for their DNP status, Ahmad Bradshaw and Linval Joseph, are now listed as probable and should be expected to play. All in all it’s not too surprising to see the team coming off the bye being a bit healthier.
