Cheese Substitute: NFL Schedule For Week 9

This week's NFL schedule isn't terribly appetizing, but there are a couple of decent late afternoon options when the Packers are done.

Al Bello

Happy football day, ladies and gentlemen. Your Green Bay Packers are playing the noon CT game, meaning you get to watch the other so-called "good games". The only problem is that there are basically no great games on this Sunday. Seahawks-Vikings and Giants-Steelers are above average, while Cowboys-Falcons certainly has the potential to be an above average game, but none of them are extremely intriguing. I'm actually spending my post-Packers afternoon at Ikea because my new place doesn't have any closets.

Consider this your open thread for non-Packers games this afternoon. All times listed below are CT.

Cardinals vs. Packers - 12 p.m., FOX

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Green Bay
You get this game: In a lot of very odd places. Because the games at noon aren't that great, a lot of markets picked this one up last minute. It figures that it's on in Pittsburgh two days after I leave. It's on in the deep south and New England as well.
Watch it?: Duh.

Panthers vs. Redskins - 12 p.m., FOX

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Washington
You get this game: In the local viewing areas, plus all of Texas except the Houston primary.
Watch it?: Cam vs. RG3 makes it watchable, but it won't be a great game, so meh.

Bears vs. Titans - 12 p.m., FOX

At least two out of there APC editors picked: Chicago
You get this game: In the local viewing areas, plus half of Kansas for some reason.
Watch it?: I guess it's not the worst idea. They are our main rivals, after all.

Lions vs. Jaguars - 12 p.m., CBS

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Jacksonville
You get this game: In the local viewing areas.
Watch it?: Ew, no.

Broncos vs. Bengals - 12 p.m., CBS

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Denver
You get this game: In most of the country. This is the CBS national game. However, it is not on in the Green Bay primary market.
Watch it?: If you are not in Green Bay or you have Sunday ticket, this is a solid 2nd screen option.

Bills vs. Texans - 12 p.m., CBS

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Houston
You get this game: In the local viewing areas.
Watch it?: Naa. This might get fun, but the Texans should keep control of this throughout.

Dolphins vs. Colts - 12 p.m., CBS

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Miami
You get this game: In the local viewing areas.
Watch it?: I'd skip it.

Ravens vs. Browns - 12 p.m., CBS

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Baltimore
You get this game: In the local viewing areas
Watch it?: Probably not worth your time.

Buccaneers vs. Raiders - 3:05 p.m., FOX

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Tampa Bay
You get this game: In the local viewing areas, plus Colorado.
Watch it?: Nope.

Vikings vs. Seahawks - 3:05 p.m., FOX

At least two out of three APC editors picked: Seattle
You get this game: In the local viewing areas, plus most of Oklahoma, Indianapolis, most of Ohio, and Buffalo.
Watch it?: If you get it, for sure.

Steelers vs. Giants - 3:25 p.m., CBS

At least two out of three APC editors picked: New York
You get this game: Nationally
Watch it?: Yes, this should be solid.
