2012 NFL Free Agents: Best Remaining Players Include Peyton Manning, Mario Williams - SBNation.com. Maybe this list is even outdated as this post comes out. It looks like Williams to the Bills is happening.

One player who's included on this list, despite not actually being a free agent, is Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley. The Raiders are expected to release him because he's due an insane $17 million next season unless the Raiders release him this week.

Wimbley could provide something the Green Bay Packers need. At 6-4, 255 lbs. and 16 sacks over the past two seasons, he's a legitimate 3-4 outside LB who can rush the passer. And at age 28, he's still got a few more seasons left in him.

Unfortunately, Wimbley reminds me a little too much of Cowboys LB Anthony Spencer. And Spencer seemed like only a slight upgrade over LB Erik Walden. The Cowboys used their franchise tag on Spencer, and he should be playing for around $10 million next season. Wimbley's going to hit the open market instead, but he should receive a similar annual salary.

I like the idea of adding Wimbley, a player who can provide help at a position the Packers could really stand to upgrade, but his price will be too high.
